  • Maintain your batteries to extend their life and insure save, reliable boating.

  • Check the bearings in your boat trailer wheels, set the correct tire pressure, (including the spare), and be sure the lights work

  • Keep the hull clean and smooth, dirty bottoms can rob you of 4 knots at full speed.

  • Be prepared for a USCG Vessel inspection at any time, check regulations for required safety equepment.

  • Always carry two anchors and the proper rode for the waters you travel.

This Vintage Crosby Striper was in need of updating fuel supply and return lines for Westerbeke 100 HP engine. Entire system was inspected to determine extent of overhaul.

Click on the "Read More" link below to see a larger detailed view.

1) The fuel tanks were left in place and 8" deck plates added for access to fuel shut off valves.

2) All lines were removed and replaced with USCG approved flexible hose to supply a Racor 10 micron water separating fuel filter.

3) Flow control valves were installed to direct tank withdrawal/return.

4) Nameplates that clearly identify valve positions were custom fabricated to assure ease of operation.

This upgrade added future value to the vessell, compliance with current fire/insurance regulations, and improves reliability.
